Description:

PhonePe is seeking a data-driven Analyst to join its Lending business team. In this role, you will apply your analytical expertise to uncover trends, manipulate complex data sources, and help scale financial products. You will act as a bridge between data and business strategy—translating massive datasets into intuitive dashboards and stories that help stakeholders make key product decisions. This is an ideal role for someone who is intellectually curious, has a sharp intuition for numbers, and loves telling a compelling story through data.

Key Technical Skills:

SQL, Python, R, Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, Data Manipulation, Core Statistical Concepts, Machine Learning (Good-to-have)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of overall analytics experience, featuring at least 1 year of hands-on experience working specifically within the lending or credit domain.
• Excellent command of SQL to write complex queries, consolidate massive data sources, and clean data for robust analysis.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel alongside modern visualization suites like PowerBI, Tableau, or QlikView to build actionable dashboards.
• Solid understanding of core statistical concepts and data-analysis languages like Python or R. (Building ML models is an added bonus, but not a strict blocker).
• Exceptional ability to clearly explain thoughts and ideas. Candidates who can seamlessly explain the "story" and business logic behind their numbers will stand out significantly.
